ABOUT US > WHO WE ARE;-
Improving Living Wage & Living Income of a Coffee Farmer!
Our story begins with a passion for coffee farming that goes back over 30 years, in Sheema-Uganda. KANGUMAMU AGRO is one of the leading coffee companies in Uganda whose business spans from farming, collecting coffee from farmers, processing until it’s in the cup. At Kangumamu, we source and grow our coffee from the best coffee producing regions in the country such as Mbarara, Kasese, Busoga among others
Our brand is backed by a long family tradition in coffee growing, processing and export that stretches back to 1994, Kangumamu Agro is also one of Uganda’s number one Coffee beans exporter to the world.
Coffee being the third most consumed beverage in the world after water and tea, Kangumamu creates a unique flavor with distinct characteristics for each blend, bringing quality and taste to every drink.
OUR VALUE FOR PEOPLE
KANGUMAMU AGRO’s strengths are its expertise in coffee and its commitment to people in our community. Our farmers around Uganda produce the best coffee; we understand the market, and make decisions to bring the best combination of quality and price to our customers.

Kioji is a green coffee sourcing company focusing solely on high quality coffees. We do the groundwork to identify, improve, select, and sell the best coffees from the most interesting origins. Every coffee we buy or forward to a client is selected based on the cup profile. We believe transparency through the chain and premiums going back to the producers is the only way to achieve a sustainable quality coffee production. Working long-term with cooperatives, associations, and farmers enables us to do increased lot separation and more selective buying. Through the premiums we pay, the farmers are able to invest and fine-tune quality, and we are able to access increasingly good coffee. Our goal is to be able to share this relationship with our clients. We want to be a preferred supplier and sourcing partner for any roaster looking for exceptional quality, and we will do what it takes to fully control the supply chain and secure quality coffees for our clients. We are also focused on adding value through transparency and extensive information about each coffee we offer, and developing projects in origin. By mainly working in specific regions in Uganda, we aim to be the best in our segment. We are investing time and attention to specific regions with great potential for amazing coffees. This means we will have a specific selection of origins and a great variety of coffees from every region where we work, instead of sourcing bits and pieces from wherever coffee can grow.

Description: The aim of this project is to develop a vibrant and sustainable cocoa value chain in Bundibugyo district. It is a partnership between the Government of Uganda and the European Union through MARKUP initiative focused at addressing obstacles and challenges experienced in the cocoa value chain in relation to reduced production and productivity, harvest and post-harvest losses, market access and diversification into higher export markets for smallholders. The project will enhance market access to EU and other Africa Caribbean and Pacific countries by supporting private operators in the cocoa value chains to improve quality and quantity of the produce and retain premium prices for the same through niche export markets.
