Description: The aim of this project is to develop a vibrant and sustainable cocoa value chain in Bundibugyo district. It is a partnership between the Government of Uganda and the European Union through MARKUP initiative focused at addressing obstacles and challenges experienced in the cocoa value chain in relation to reduced production and productivity, harvest and post-harvest losses, market access and diversification into higher export markets for smallholders. Latitude operates central fermentation and drying facilities for the production of fully traceable specialty cocoa from several regions of Uganda, supplying chocolate companies in the US, EU and Asia markets.
